Anchor Point — Taghazout, Morocco

Anchor Point is the birthplace of modern surfing in Morocco. As the country’s most iconic point break, it has welcomed generations of surfers in search of its long, perfectly peeling right-hand waves and the laid-back atmosphere that made Taghazout famous.

This photograph was captured during the final seasons before large-scale hotel developments transformed the coastline. Empty roads, scattered houses, and endless Atlantic swell preserve the character of the original Moroccan surf destination—a place where life revolved around the ocean long before it became an international hotspot.

For those who remember the old Taghazout, this print is more than a landscape. It is a glimpse into a disappearing era and a tribute to one of surfing’s most iconic destinations.
